Paint Pops take months to create. Every weekend when I sit down to paint, the pallet from the weekend before is rubbed into a painting that didn't make the grade. I love the paint so much that I can't stand to throw any of it away. Making a Paint Pop began as a method to keep my old paint in a way that just entertains the eye.  Sometimes I can look at the colors on the rubbing and remember what painting it came from. I just love old Barns. They are so indicitive of their region. I love the way the dark red sets against a blue sky. Or, the way a white barn sets off against a grey sky. I should do more of them. This barn didn't quite make the grade, but made a dramatic backdrop for a Paint Pop. Original is 12" x 9".
