Paint Pop take months to create. Every weekend when I sit down to paint, the palette from the weekend before is rubbed into a painting that didn't make the grade. I love the paint so much that I can't stand to throw any of it away. Making a Paint Pop began as a way that I could keep my old paint in a way that just entertains the eye. Sometimes I can look at the colors on the rubbing and remember what painting it came from. I did this sailboat painting and never really warmed up to it.  But it made an amazing background for this Paint Pop! Already framed and ready to hang up.
