Paint Pops take months to create. Every weekend when I sit down to paint, the palette from the weekend before is rubbed into a painting that didn't make the grade. I love the paint so much that I can't stand to throw any of it away. Making a Paint Pop began as a method to keep my old paint in a way that just entertains the eye. Sometimes I can look at the colors on the rubbing and remember what painting it came from. This one covered a painting of a group of friends relaxing on Cocoa Beach. I didn't like the way the shadows turned out, so it became a wonderful ground for a Paint Pop. Original is 11" x 14".
